The course will introduce participants to the materials and techniques of this art form, including paper and pigment preparation as well as the basics of traditional drawing and painting. The workshop will focus on the siyah qalam brush and ink rendering technique, the backbone for the more advanced opaque watercolor techniques.

The class will be taught in traditional style, seated on the floor. For those who aren’t comfortable seating can be provided. To support the canvas, drawing boards will be provided by the instructor but students that have their own boards are most welcome to bring it.

Cost of the course is 90 Dollars including materials that aren’t listed on the material list.

The class will run from the 17th of March to the 24th, of which the weekend days will be used from 9:30 until 4pm and weekdays sessions will be from 6 until 9pm.
